Thermostats and other equipment worth nearly $3,000 recently were stolen from a building on the St. Joseph Catholic Parish grounds on Old Antonia Road in Imperial, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Between 3:30 p.m. March 23 and 8 a.m. March 24, someone entered the parish’s “Bridge Building” and stole 10 Emerson “Big Blue Universal” thermostats; a white Android 4.2 HD LED projector; and a computer printer. Altogether the items were valued at $2,855, the report said.

Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office said some renovations are underway at the parish and the thermostats were going to be installed in some buildings there.

The Bridge Building houses offices and meeting rooms.

A church maintenance man said he had locked the building, but there were no signs of forced entry, Arnhart said.

As of today (March 30), none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, he said.

He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
