More than $10,000 worth of property was stolen from a vacant home in the 1700 block of Clemens Court in Barnhart. The theft occurred between Nov. 30 and Dec. 6, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
After deputies responded to the scene, the home’s caretaker told them that someone illegally entered the home and stole electrical wiring, copper plumbing, a ladder and a vacuum. In all, those items were valued at $10,200, a report said.
The home had been vacant since 2009, and no one was living at the property at the time of the theft, according to the report.
As of Dec. 14, none of the items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
