Arnold Police are investigating the theft of an SUV from outside a home in the 2500 block of Tanglewood Drive. The 2019 Jeep Compass was valued at about $22,000, the report said.
The victim, a 43-year-old Arnold woman, told police the Compass was stolen between about 1 a.m. and 1:20 a.m. Nov. 10. She also said she still had the key fob to the SUV in her home, but the fob may have been close enough to the vehicle to allow someone to get inside it and start it. The woman said she was unsure if the SUV had been locked, the report said.
Surveillance video showed a pickup on the street at the time the SUV was stolen, but it did not indicate if someone got out of the pickup and into the Compass, according to the report.
As of Nov. 20, the SUV had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Capt. Rich Shular said. Anyone with information about the theft should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
