A 42-year-old St. Louis woman found slumped behind the wheel of a car on an I-55 exit ramp was arrested for alleged possession of what is believed to be coke and methamphetamine. The woman was arrested about 4:25 a.m. Jan. 17, Arnold Police reported.

Police were called to investigate a stalled 2014 Mazda on the southbound I-55 exit ramp at Hwy. 141. Officers found the woman in the car and discovered two plastic bags in her purse that contained the substances, the report said.

The woman was arrested and taken to the Police Station. She was booked and later released pending application for warrants, according to the report.

Depending on results from the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s for possession of a controlled substance, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
