Pevely Police plan to seek charges against a 27-year-old St. Louis man for allegedly assaulting a woman and a man at their apartment in the 8000 block of Brian’s Way in Pevely. No injuries were reported for the woman, but the male victim was hurt, Chief Mark Glenn said,
He said the incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Feb. 14, when the man was visiting someone at the apartment and began punching a couch.
“When asked to stop, the guest refused and continued punching the furniture,” Glenn said.
He said the suspect reportedly pushed the woman who lived in the apartment. Then, a 26-year-old man who also lives there intervened and a fight ensued between the two men.
When officers arrived, the St. Louis man fled the scene, Glenn said.
The 26-year-old man had a small cut to his upper lip. He was treated at the scene by paramedics but refused to be taken to a hospital.
