A 41-year-old St. Louis man, who said he just wanted to see his son, was arrested for allegedly violating the terms of a protection order and being found with drugs in his vehicle, Eureka Police reported.
Police were called at about 11 p.m. Dec. 31 to the 700 block of Top Notch Lane after receiving a report from a 45-year-old Eureka woman that the man was banging on the front door of her home, the report said.
When officers arrived, the man was outside the home, and he told police he wanted to see his son. The man also allegedly said he knew he had an order of protection against him, according to the report.
The man was arrested and his vehicle was towed. While taking inventory of his car, police allegedly found a green leafy substance, the report said.
The man was issued a citation to appear in Eureka Municipal Court for possession of a controlled substance, and Eureka Police applied for a warrant through the St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for violating an order of protection, Capt. David Wilson said.
