Arnold Police recently arrested a 28-year-old St. Louis man for suspicion of stealing and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

On the afternoon of Jan. 16, Arnold Police got a call that the man stole a car battery from the NAPA store, 2100 Tenbrook Road, and ran away with it, the report said.

The man was found a short time later nearby at the Walgreen’s parking lot, 776 Jeffco Blvd., with the battery, which was valued at $317.99, according to the report.

While the man was being booked, officers allegedly found him with a small amount of meth and a pipe, the report said.

After booking, he was released pending application for warrants.

Depending on results from the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek felony drug charges, as well as stealing charges, against him through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
