Arnold Police have arrested a 45-year-old St. Louis man who allegedly threatened to shoot an employee at the Kohl’s store, 2150 Michigan Ave. The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. Jan. 27, when the employee tried to stop the St. Louis man for alleged stealing, and the suspect pulled back his shirt, “intimating that he had a gun,” Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman says.
Then, the suspect fled the store and left in a vehicle that was waiting for him. Later, store employees determined that the man previously had returned items at the service desk and at that time, provided his driver’s license, which police used to identify him, Arnold Police reported.
Arnold Police listed the St. Louis man as wanted. Eventually, he was picked up by a different agency and at 3:30 p.m. May 2, was transported to the Arnold Police Department, Ruckman said.
He was booked and then released pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek felony charges against him through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ruckman said.
