A 38-year-old St. Louis man was arrested and could face charges for sexual misconduct after he was found naked in a stairwell at a Eureka hotel, Eureka Police reported.

Police were called at about 5 a.m. Oct. 6 to the Holiday Inn St. Louis West at Six Flags, 4901 Six Flags Road, after employees at the front desk reported the man was naked in the establishment. Employees told police they told the man, who was not a guest of the hotel, to leave after he entered the lobby, the report said.

Instead of leaving, the man ran up a set of stairs and down a hallway toward the hotel’s restaurant area. When police arrived, he was located in a stairwell, and he allegedly admitted to ingesting drugs, according to the report.

He was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and later released, the report said.

Eureka Police will seek a charge for first-degree sexual misconduct, a class B misdemeanor, against the man through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Capt. David Wilson said.

A class B misdemeanor is punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine up to $1,000.
