Arnold Police arrested a 31-year-old St. Louis man for alleged possession of heroin after he was pulled over on Richardson Road near Vogel Road. The man was arrested at 2:55 p.m. May 15, Arnold Police reported.
An officer checked the plates on the 2003 Ford Expedition the man was driving and pulled over the SUV because the plate number was not registered. The man already was wanted on warrants from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Louis County Police Department, the report said.
The officer searched the SUV and allegedly discovered a silver container on the driver-side floorboard that contained two capsules filled with a substance believed to be heroin. The officer also found a black bag in the center console, and the bag allegedly contained two smoking pipes, according to the report.
The man was taken to the Police Station, where he was held for one of the law enforcement agencies that wanted him on a warrant. Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
