A man and a woman from St. Clair were arrested March 2 in De Soto for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, according to a report from De Soto Police Chief Rick Draper.
At 12:50 p.m., a De Soto Police officer pulled them over at Main Street near Fountain City Road because there was no license plate on the vehicle they were in. The man, 27, and the woman, 22, were found to be in possession of a brown substance, as well as drug paraphernalia, the report said.
Police will send the substance to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Lab for testing. Depending on results from the drug analysis, De Soto Police will seek charges against them through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Draper said.
