De Soto Police are investigating a report of shots fired at a group of men at West Stone and Second streets. The incident happened about 5 p.m. Dec. 1, the Police Department reported.
Police do not know the identities of the men who were on the street when the shots were fired, but no one reported being struck by the bullets, Chief Jeff McCreary said.
A witness reported seeing a man point a gun out of the window of a red Pontiac four-door vehicle and fire four or five rounds at several men on the street. Several witnesses heard the shots, but only one reported actually seeing the man fire the shots, McCreary said.
“Officers recovered several .380 shell casings and a small amount of marijuana from the street where (the shots were fired),” he said.
