A 23-year-old Imperial man without any shoes on in 30-degree weather was arrested after he allegedly became combative with an Arnold Police officer. The incident happened about 3 a.m. Nov. 3, Arnold Police reported.

The police officer saw the man, who appeared intoxicated, pulling on business door handles in a strip mall in the 600 block of Jeffco Boulevard and confronted him as he was pulling on the door to the Bingo Nails salon, 667 Jeffco Blvd. The man sat on the ground and allegedly told the officer he thought he was trying to get into a friend’s apartment building. When the officer informed him he was in a strip mall, the man disagreed, got up and allegedly acted like he was going to fight the officer, the report said.

However, he did not try to assault the officer and was arrested without further incident. The man was transported to the Police Station, where he was booked and later released to a sober driver, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.

Arnold Police issued the man a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for failure to comply and disorderly conduct, Wooldridge said.
