The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a man and woman suspected of stealing items from a home in the 5400 block of Lions Den Road in Imperial. During the investigation, deputies discovered that items were stolen from that home and another one on the same property, the Sheriff's Office reported.
One of the victims said he saw a man and woman taking items from his home and loading them into the Ford F-150 pickup and driving away. The victim took a photo of the pickup and its license plate, but as of March 3, it was not known if the pickup was registered to either the man or woman or if the license plate had been stolen from another vehicle, the report said.
It looked like the culprits broke a window to get inside his home and forced open the front door on the other nearby home that was burglarized. A Nikon camera and equipment, a drill, a Skil saw, a bow, a .22-caliber Remington rifle and miscellaneous coins were stolen from the two homes. In all the items were valued at $5,790, according to the report.
As of March 3, the man and woman and the pickup had not been located, and none of the stolen items had been recovered, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the burglaries to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
