The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent theft from a home under construction in the 1100 block of Timber Creek Drive in Imperial. The theft happened between April 15 and April 17, the report said.
Someone illegally entered the home through an unsecured garage door and stole 15 rolls of copper wire. The wire had been secured with a chain, which was cut, and the meter setter was secured to the outside of the house, but it was removed. Altogether, the stolen items were valued at $1,352, according to the report.
As of April 21, the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. He asks anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
