Authorities are seeking a man who allegedly stabbed two other men at an Imperial home this morning (Dec. 8), says Lt. Gary Higginbotham of he Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

He said the two stabbing victims were treated at an area hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening.

“It was a double stabbing a little before 8 a.m.,” Higginbotham said. “Arnold got the call first of a stabbing victim at the BP Gas Station (3998 Jeffco Blvd.), but it (the stabbing) did not happen there. Arnold Police determined it happened at a residence in the 800 block of Country Glen Drive in Imperial, which is when we got involved.”

Higginbotham said one of the stabbing victims is 26. However, he didn’t know where the man lives.

“He was taken to an area hospital for treatment,” Higginbotham said. “While he was being treated, a second stabbing victim came to the same hospital for treatment and it was determined both (stabbings) happened at the same place.”

The second stabbing victim is 28 and lives in Imperial, Higginbotham said.

While the 28-year-old man is from Imperial, the stabbing did not happen at his home, Higginbotham said.

“There was a third party involved that fled the scene,” he said. “The incident is under investigation while we attempt to identify a suspect.”

Higginbotham said the victim who showed up at the gas station apparently was driven there by someone else, and authorities believe the other victim drove himself to the hospital.

Anyone with information about the stabbings is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
