The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles in the Persimmon Point subdivision in the Hillsboro area. The thefts occurred early April 1, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
According to the report, several people were inside a vehicle that drove through the subdivision, and they “hit multiple driveways entering unlocked vehicles.” Stolen items included one diamond with silver-band engagement ring; one silver chain necklace; an Apple iPad Pro with a protective case; and an Apple pen. The stolen items were valued at $6,400, the report said.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said April 24 that the stolen items had not been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
