The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at Zion Lutheran Church, 9700 Zion Lutheran Church Road, northeast of Hillsboro. Items worth about $5,350 were stolen during the burglary, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Between 9:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Oct. 30, someone kicked open a side door to the church and stole the items, including a hunting bow, a crossbow, rifles and shotguns.
As of Nov. 14, the items had not been recovered and there were no arrests, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at Detective Bureau at 636-797-5515.
