Saline Valley firefighters were able to keep a shed-brush fire from spreading, the district reported.
Assistant Chief Chris Harris said the district received a call at about 1:20 p.m. Nov. 11 to the 4600 block of Novotny Hill Road in Imperial.
“Upon arrival, crews found an outbuilding that was on fire along with some brush,” he said. “Fire spread to a grass-wooded area. The shed was a total loss. Crews were able to bring the incident under control quickly. They were able to keep it contained to its source of origin.”
He said firefighters remained on scene for about an hour and no injuries were reported.
No cause for the fire has been determined, but it is not considered suspicious, Harris said Monday, Nov. 13.
