An RV was among the approximately $30,000 in items stolen from a home in the 300 block of Dehner Road north of Hillsboro. The theft happened sometime between Aug. 30 and Sept. 15, while the victims were out of town, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
In addition to stealing the 2005 Gulf Stream BT Cruiser RV, the culprit entered an unlocked door on a garage/workshop and stole several items that had been stored inside that building. The other stolen items included an air compressor, four RV batteries, an RV battery charger, a lawn mower and a tool box filled with tools.
As of Sept. 20, none of the stolen items had been recovered, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He said a person of interest had been identified but no arrests had been made.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
