A power washer valued at $350 recently was stolen from a house in the 1800 block of Hawk Pointe Drive in Festus, Police Chief Tim Lewis said.
He said the theft was reported around 2 a.m. May 30.
“When the victims returned home, they saw marks on their yard that looked like somebody had done burnouts in the yard,” Lewis said. “They discovered the power washer missing from their garage.”
Lewis said Tuesday (June 6) that he didn’t know how entry was gained into the garage, adding that the victims told police the garage door was secured.
He said the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Festus Police at 636-937-5184.
