Arnold police patch

Arnold Police are trying to locate a 50-year-old St. Louis man believed to be one of three people who used fraudulent checks to buy items at two Arnold businesses, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge reported.

At about 3:30 p.m. July 22, two men and a woman reportedly used a fake check to buy $309 worth of auto parts at Jefferson County Auto Parts, 1805 Jeffco Blvd. The three people then allegedly went to Holt Electrical Supplies, 540 Jeffco Blvd., and used another fake check to buy $2,229.60 worth of equipment, the report said.

The three were traveling in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to the report.

As of July 31, authorities had not located the St. Louis man. They also had not identified the other man and the woman, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
