Arnold Police are looking for a 45-year-old Imperial man who allegedly got out of a wheelchair to steal a cell phone at Walgreens, 3937 Vogel Road. The theft happened about 11:40 p.m. July 1, the report said.
A woman reportedly was shopping at the store and set her cell phone on a counter, and while no one was looking, another customer – the man in the wheelchair – stood up and took the phone, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The phone was valued at $90, the report said.
Jones said the incident was captured on surveillance footage, which was used to identify the man. As of July 21, the man had not been taken into custody, Jones said.
