Police are seeking a 33-year-old Arnold man who allegedly stole $3,520 from Midland States Bank, 1920 Richardson Road, by depositing fraudulent checks and then withdrawing cash before the bank learned the checks were no good, says Capt. Robert Ruckman of the Arnold Police Department.
Between May 8, 2015, and July 20, 2015, the man deposited $3,520 in checks from closed bank accounts at the ATM at Midland States Bank and then was able to withdraw that amount at the ATM before bank personnel found the checks were invalid, the report said.
The man was later identified, and Arnold Police listed him as wanted, according to the report.
As of Jan. 28, the suspect had not been taken into custody, Ruckman said.
