Arnold Police are seeking information about vandalism to several homes and vehicles in the same part of town around Melody and Harmony lanes and Casa Drive. The incidents occurred overnight between May 18 and May 19, the report said.
Detective Lt. James Jones said it’s likely “kids with too much time on their hands” were responsible for the vandalism.
The vandals spray-painted words and images, including “lewd” ones, on homes, vehicles, mailboxes and road signs. They also slashed tires.
The phrase, “drugs are good,” was spray-painted on the brick veneer of a home in the 1800 block of Melody Lane. The damage to that home was estimated at $100, the report said.
An obscene comment and an obscene image were spray-painted on a van parked in the 1700 block of Harmony Lane. That damage was estimated at $500, according to the report.
Someone spray-painted a line on the side of a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Harmony Lane. That damage was estimated at $400, the report said.
Spray paint was found on a mailbox in that same block of Harmony Lane, with that damage estimated at $50, according to the report.
Arnold Police spotted spray paint on two No Parking signs in the 1900 block of Casa Drive, along with a lewd image painted on the road nearby. The damage to the signs was estimated at $200, the report said.
A tire was slashed on a van parked in the 1800 block of Melody Lane, and that damage was estimated at $375, the report said.
Another tire was slashed on a different vehicle parked in that same block of Melody Lane. That damage was estimated at $200, according to the report
As of Wednesday (May 31), no suspects had been identified and there were no arrests, Jones said. He asks anyone with information about the vandalism to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
