Eureka Police are investigating about $6,000 in damage to a piece of track and field equipment at Eureka High School, Capt. David Wilson said.

Eureka High contacted police on May 1 to report damage to a pole vault landing mat. It appeared the mat, which was at the outdoor track in the high school stadium, had been cut with a knife, police reported.

Eureka High representatives told police the damage likely occurred from 9:40 a.m. April 13 to 10 p.m. April 15, the report said.

As of May 9, there were no suspects, Wilson said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
