Two men allegedly stole a pickup with an oil trailer attached to it, along with numerous tools, from Quality Pavement, 2503 Arnold Tenbrook Road. Altogether the stolen items were valued at $92,000, Arnold Police reported.
The victim told police he saw the two enter an open bay door at the business at about 1:15 a.m. Nov. 28. The suspects allegedly stole paving tools, a Stihl backpack blower and miscellaneous keys. Those items were valued at about $30,000, the report said.
Then, the men allegedly were seen getting into a white heavy-duty dually 2017 Ram 5500, which was unlocked and had the keys inside it, and driving away from the business. The pickup was valued at about $52,000, and the oil trailer was valued at about $10,000, according to the report.
An officer attempted to stop the fleeing pickup, but the driver did not stop. The pickup was last seen traveling north on I-55, the report said.
