crime scene tape

A pickup and other items recently were stolen from a property in the 4100 block of Jeffco Boulevard in the Arnold area that houses both a residence and a U-Haul business. The theft happened between 9 p.m. July 29 and 6 a.m. July 30, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

In addition to a red Chevrolet Colorado, stolen items included the key to the pickup, two $10 bills, eight gold $1 coins and a gold-colored pocket watch. Altogether, the items were valued at $7,048, the report said.

The culprit loosened screws fastening a fan in a window and removed it and a screen to get inside the building. Deputies lifted possible fingerprints from items at the scene and entered them as evidence, according to the report.

As of Aug. 9, the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Lt. Gary Higginbotham. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
