Investigators search a Mazda SUV that was driven this morning to Festus City Hall and Police Station on Tuesday morning by a woman who allegedly told officers she killed two of her children.

Eureka Police are investigating the theft of 15 phones from the T-Mobile store, 163 Eureka Towne Center Drive. The culprit shattered the glass front door of the business to get inside, police reported.

A security company contacted Eureka Police at about 12:50 a.m. July 27 after an alarm went off at the business. Officers were told someone was seen in surveillance video inside the building, the report said.

Officers arrived at 12:54 a.m., and the glass door was shattered and open, but no one was inside the business at that time, according to the report.

Police also discovered that six Apple iPhones and nine Samsung phones were missing. The value of the phones and cost to repair the broken front doors was $10,547.88, the report said.

As of Aug. 15, none of the phones had been recovered, and no suspect had been identified, Lt. Michael Tapp said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
