When a Pevely family came home on March 10, they were surprised to find a naked female stranger passed out on their couch.
The family of four, including two minor children, discovered the woman about 7 p.m. in their home in the 600 block of Riverview.
“Apparently she got naked in the house,” Pevely Police Capt. Tony Moutray said. “She thought she was in a different house.”
The father told the woman to leave, then called police, who found her a couple of blocks away.
Moutray said she was arrested on suspicion of numerous charges, including failure to comply, resisting arrest and property damage. It wasn’t clear how she had entered the home.
She is 55 years old and lives in Pevely, though not nearby.
Moutray said she was the same woman who drove a pickup truck through the front of a home in the 800 block of Riverview on Feb. 3, just two blocks from the scene of the latest incident.
On the night of the crash, she had a blood-alcohol content three times the legal limit. Charges have not yet been filed in either case.
“There’s something about that part of town that attracts her,” Moutray said.
