Rebecca Murray of Festus calls her dog, Patty, her good friend. Both Murray and Patty, a 7-year-old Morkie, or Maltese and Yorkshire mix, attended the Leader Pet Expo May 7 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro.
“She’s been my buddy,” Murray said. “She’s very quiet.”
Until recently, Murray said, she had two dogs.
“I just lost a dog, Sadie,” she said. “She was a tiny toy poodle. She was ornery.”
Patty has a much more pleasant personality, Murray said.
“This one is smart, but gentle,” she said.
