The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified a person of interest in a burglary of a home in the 5500 block of Timberline Circle north of Hillsboro. The front door of the home had been forced open, windows on the home were damaged and windows and cabinets that were to be installed were stolen, police reported.
The Sheriff’s Office does not typically provide estimated values for stolen items or expected repair costs for damages. However, it did report the stolen items and cost to repair the damage was a felony amount.
The victim reported the burglary on Jan. 17. He had last been at the home on Jan. 15, the report said.
As of Feb. 5, none of the stolen items had been located, and no arrests had been made, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
