woman in handcuffs

Arnold Police arrested a 37-year-old Park Hills woman after officers allegedly found drug paraphernalia stashed under the hood of a car she was riding in and illegal drugs concealed in her bra, police reported.

At about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 23, officers stopped a 2008 Dodge Caliber in the 1800 block of Jeffco Boulevard after the 33-year-old man who was driving the car swerved across the road’s dotted line three times. The driver said he swerved because he was keeping his eye on the officers’ patrol car behind him, the report said.

The driver, whose hometown was not listed in the report, gave the officers permission to search the car. One of the officers looked under the hood and found a wallet that had a glass smoking pipe inside it next to the car battery, according to the report.

The wallet belonged to the woman, who already was wanted on felony warrants from the Madison County and St. Francois County sheriff’s offices. A female officer was called to search the Park Hills woman and reportedly found six white pills wrapped in a plastic bag inside the suspect’s bra, the report said.

The woman was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and held for the other law enforcement agencies. Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.

The man who was driving was released with a warning, Valentine added.
