Pevely Police are seeking a man and a woman in connection with the theft of a motorcycle from outside a home in the 900 block of Peggy Drive. The maroon 1998 Harley-Davidson FXSTC motorcycle was valued at $4,000, Capt. Larry Miller said.
The victim, a 49-yer-old man, said the theft happened overnight between Dec. 27-28, and he reported the theft at about 5:40 a.m. Dec. 28, Miller said.
“The victim stated he was leaving for work and noticed a tarp that he keeps over his motorcycle laying in his yard,” Miller said. “The victim said when he went to where he keeps his motorcycle stored, it was not there. It was last seen where he keeps it at 9 p.m. the night before.”
Miller said police are seeking the man and woman for questioning regarding the theft.
“A witness in the area observed two subjects in a white Ford Explorer with the motorcycle around 4:50 a.m.,” Miller said.
