The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a motorcycle from outside the Pleasant View Motel in the Arnold area. The blue 2007 Yamaha was stolen between about 10:30 p.m. June 26 and 10:30 a.m. June 27, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim said he parked the motorcycle in front of the office of the motel, 4301 Jeffco Blvd., just south of Arnold. The bike was secured with a chain, which investigators found cut and left behind where the Yamaha had been parked, the report said.
The motorcycle, which did not have a license plate, was valued at $2,000, according to the report.
As of July 6, the motorcycle had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the theft should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
