The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a 2006 Yamaha R1 from an open garage at a home in the 2600 block of Greenway Drive in High Ridge. The motorcycle was valued at $9,000, the Sheriff's Office reported.
The victim said he went to bed at about 9 p.m. Feb. 25, and when he woke up at about 9:30 a.m. Feb. 26, he discovered the motorcycle was gone. He said he believes he did not close the garage door before he went to sleep, the report said.
The victim also said the keys were with the motorcycle, according to the report.
As of March 3, the Yamaha had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
