Chad A. Mosley, 44, of Pacific, a prior offender, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually molesting an 11-year-old girl in Jefferson County, court records indicate.
Between June 1, 2011, and September 1, 2011, Mosley had sexual contact with the girl on more than one occasion, the probable-cause statement said.
The incidents occurred at Mosley’s Jefferson County home, the report said.
On Nov. 5, 2015, a jury found Mosley guilty of first-degree statutory sodomy and first-degree child molestation, both felonies, and on Jan. 13, Jefferson County Div. 4 Circuit Judge Mark T. Stoll sentenced him to 30 years for each of the two charges. However, the terms are to be served concurrently, or at the same time, court papers show.
Mosley was facing another felony charge for first-degree statutory sodomy tied to a November 2004 incident in Jefferson County, but since he has been sentenced to prison, the other case is being dismissed so the victim doesn't have to go through a trial, Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Marie Pudlowski said today (Jan. 25).
"I'm filing the dismissal today," she said.
Mosley previously was convicted of felony second-degree statutory sodomy. After pleading guilty to that charge, he was sentenced in February 2008 to three years in prison, court records show.
