Jewelry worth $4,270 was stolen from a home in the 8000 block of Hillsboro-House Springs Road in the Hillsboro area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The victim reported the thefts on Dec. 19, and said the jewelry was stolen between Dec. 16 and that date. It is not known how entry to the house was made, the report said.

Stolen items included a gold wedding band; a gold ring with emeralds and diamonds; a silver ring with chocolate and white diamonds; a flower-shaped diamond ring; three fake diamond rings and $20 in cash. As of Dec. 27, none of the stolen items had been recovered and there were no arrests, Sgt. Matthew Moore of the Sheriff’s Office said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
