road closed

The Missouri Department of Transportation will reopen a stretch of Hwy. F from Hwy. O to Country Club Estates in the Jefferson County portion of Pacific on Friday, May 13. That section has been closed since May 5 because of mud and rock slides following heavy rains, MoDOT reported.

A pavement replacement project was underway along Hwy. F between Hwy. O and St. Joseph Hills Road, but that project was temporarily put on old because of the mud and rock slides but is expected to resume Monday, May 16, and continue for an undetermined number of days, MoDOT spokeswoman Charlene Goston said.

When the work resumes, one lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and flaggers will direct traffic along the stretch, she said.
