Mario Stefano, 55, of Imperial has been accused of sexually abusing four children over a six-year period. The alleged victims were all younger than 12 years old, according to court documents.
Stefano on Oct. 31 was charged with four counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy, which are unclassified felonies and each are punishable by five years to life in prison; and two counts of second-degree child molestation, which are class B felonies and each carry a penalty of five to 15 years in prison, court records show.
He was arrested on the day that charges were filed, and as of Nov. 5, he was being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court documents said.
The four girls told investigators the abuse happened between January 2019 and October 2025. One victim said Stefano once showed her a pornographic video, according to the case’s probable-cause statement.
