Arnold Police are trying to identify a man who allegedly stole a display case full of lighters from the Zingers Mart at the BP gas station, 1502 Jeffco Blvd. The case had 150 lighters in it, and the lighters were valued at $448.50, authorities said.
At about 6:30 p.m. Nov. 21, two men entered the convenience store after putting gas into a silver Nissan Titan. They paid for the gas in cash and drove away in the pickup. However, a short time later, one of the men returned to the store and allegedly grabbed the display case and ran away, an employee told police officers.
As of Dec. 1, none of the stolen lighters had been recovered, and the suspect had not been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
