Festus Police are investigating the theft of $500 worth of lawn equipment from a shed in the 500 block of South Fifth Street. The incident was reported about 12:30 p.m. Aug. 5, but it is not known when the items were stolen, Police Chief Tim Lewis said.
“They broke into the shed, broke a lock,” he said.
As of Aug. 11, the stolen items had not been recovered and no suspects had been identified, Lewis said. He asks anyone with information to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
