Eureka Police patch

Eureka Police are investigating the theft of a large metal sign from outside the Golden Horseshoe Tack Shop, 319 N. Central Ave. The sign depicts a person riding a horse that is jumping, Capt. David Wilson reported.

The sign, which is 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide and is painted black, is worth $150. It was stolen between 6 p.m. April 26 and 2:30 p.m. April 27, the report said.

The sign had been secured to a post outside the business with a chain and padlock. The chain was cut to remove the sign, police reported.

As of May 9, there were no suspects and the sign had not been recovered, Wilson said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
