Woman charged for alleged drug possession, stealing after Arnold arrest

Danielle Koeller

A woman accused of attempting to steal items from the Arnold Walmart and being in possession of methamphetamine was recently arrested, according to Jefferson County Jail records.

Danielle Nicole Koeller, 43, of St. Louis was arrested May 29, and she is being held on a $4,000 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records show.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on March 5 had charged Koeller with possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony punishable by up to seven years in prison, and stealing items worth less than $150, a class D misdemeanor that carries a penalty of a fine of up to $500, according to court documents.

Arnold Police were called at about 4:55 p.m. June 15, 2024, to Walmart, 2201 Michigan Ave. Koeller and a man were purchasing items at a self-checkout lane, but the two allegedly only scanned some items and left the store without purchasing other items, the case’s probable-cause statement said.

The two allegedly did not pay for 11 items, which combined were worth $136, the report said.

After the two were arrested, an officer allegedly found a pipe with residue and a crystal-like substance in Koeller’s purse. The Missouri State Highway Patrol tested the reside and substance, identifying it has meth, according to the report.

The man was not identified in the probable-cause statement.
