Festus Police are investigating the recent theft of a car parked in front of a house in the 1100 block of Ethel Court. The victim said the car, a 2015 Kia Soul, was stolen overnight between Jan. 26 and Jan. 27, Police Chief Doug Wendel reported.
“He parked his red Kia Soul in front of his house (Jan. 26),” Wendel said. “When he came out at about 3 a.m., the car was gone. He reported it immediately.”
Wendel said the perpetrator broke a car window to get inside, adding that the car was valued at about $10,000.
As of Jan. 30, no arrests had been made and the car had not been recovered, he said. Anyone with information is urged to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
