House Springs teen reported missing

Takota Latimer, 13, of House Springs was last seen at about 5:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, getting into a vehicle with others outside of his home in the 6000 block of North Lakeside Drive.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a teenager, whose family said he has cognitive disabilities.

Takota Latimer, 13, of House Springs was last seen at about 5:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, getting into a vehicle with others outside of his home in the 6000 block of North Lakeside Drive. Investigators reported there was no indication that Latimer was taken against his will.

Latimer was last seen wearing a black or gray hooded sweatshirt and black oversized jogging pants with a white stripe down the side, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies, High Ride Fire Protection District personnel, a bloodhound and drones were used to search for Latimer starting at 7 p.m. Monday. The Sheriff’s Office reported this morning, Oct. 24, that the search near Latimer’s home has been completed, but detectives are continuing to search for the missing teen.

Family members told deputies Latimer is known to wander off., the report said.
