The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified a person of interest in connection with the recent theft of nine kayaks from the Buchheit store, 4550 Gravois Road, in House Springs. Altogether the kayaks were worth $3,200, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
On April 21, employees discovered a hole cut in the fence that surrounds the outdoor shopping area, and the kayaks were missing, the report said.
As of April 27, the kayaks had not been recovered, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
