Eureka Police are investigating the theft of items from an unlocked 2011 Chevrolet Impala that was parked outside a home in the 2000 block of Windswept Farms Drive. The stolen items were approximately worth $2,100, police reported.
A 58-year-old Eureka woman called the police at about 9:50 a.m. Jan. 4 after discovering the items were stolen from her son’s car. The woman’s son, a 29-year-old, said he parked the car outside the home at about 7:30 p.m. Jan. 3, the report said.
A MacBook Pro laptop, a black Oakley backpack, black gym bag with clothes inside and a cream swim bag with various items were stolen, according to the report.
As of Jan. 14, none of the items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Lt. Michael Tapp said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
