The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of items from an unlocked pickup parked outside a home in the 1600 block of Wade Road in Catawissa. The stolen items were valued at about $2,300, authorities reported.
The victim called the Sheriff’s Office at about 2 p.m. Nov. 23, when he discovered numerous items missing from the 1996 Dodge Ram 2500. He said the items had been in the pickup as of Nov. 13, the report said.
Among the stolen items were a stereo, battery, spare tire and ignition, along with tools. As of Nov. 30, none of the items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
