woman in handcuffs

A 41-year-old Imperial woman wanted on warrants was arrested in Arnold of alleged possession of methamphetamine and other drugs and paraphernalia. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office wanted the woman on warrants for felony drug possession, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.

At about 1:45 p.m. April 16, officers saw the woman driving a 2001 Jeep Cherokee near Old Lemay Ferry Road and Arnold Commons Drive and recognized her as someone wanted on warrants. They stopped the Jeep in the 900 block of Arnold Commons Drive and arrested her, the report said.

A police dog indicated there could be illegal substances in the Jeep. Officers searched the vehicle and allegedly found a wax substance consistent with concentrated cannabis, two glass smoking pipes with residue, a grinder and a prescription bottle with a substance believed to be marijuana, according to the report.

The woman had a medical marijuana license, police reported.

She was taken to the Police Station, and when she was searched there, an officer allegedly found a bag containing a substance believed to be meth hidden in her bra. Arnold Police booked her and held her for the Sheriff’s Office, according to the report.

Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Valentine said.
